Elves & fairies....

That's what they want to see over at the ABC Christmas challenge this fortnight.
Eeeeeeek! was my initial reaction, I don't have any of those.

Thinking cap solution.........I'll draw myself an image to use!

OMG............What was I thinking!!!
Soon abandoned that idea I can tell you.

However, a good rummage in my image shoe box rewarded me with a cutie little fairy I had been given by a kind crafting friend (a big thank you)......Phew!
And here is my card....

Oh yes, I nearly forgot....the extra bit of the challenge was to use Red & Green

The image is coloured with Promarkers & the text done on the PC.
Freebie papers from a mag, red Bazzill card and finished with a few Dew drops.
Kept the layout simple, 'cos I liked it that way!
Hope you like it too.

Late night crafting.........

.........OH away tonight & I can't settle so have had a late night craft session. Oh Boy, this one turned out to be a challenge & a half! I am somewhat out of my comfort zone with the Winter Wonderland sketch this week. It has quite a lot of layers, something I do struggle with....LOL, it has taken me FOREVER to decide the papers & layers! Still I don't think I have ever been this organised before.......Hubbie's Christmas card done in Feb!!!!!! Just need to keep it safe & be able to find now when Dec does get here.
So, here goes for the following challenges.... This week is a sketch which I have tried to follow. This weeks challenge is to use the following recipe
3 x embellishments: mine are card candy, brads & Holly.
2 x patterned papers: Both mine are Basic Grey's wassail falling snow & spice tea.
1 x image: I have used one of my favorite House Mouse stamps "Winter's nap" This challenge is to feature Holly in your project.
Right......Off to bed now 'cos it's way past my bed time!!
Nighty night.

Just Cute Bears challenge #4

Just about managed to finish this one before the 6pm dead line for the Just Cute Bears Challenge. They have a fab sketch to follow in this weeks challenge.
If you haven't already had a peek at their blog you are too late for this weeks challenge, but a new one will be posted tomorrow :0)
I should apologise for the poor pic, photography at this time of day in Feb is just not good. The card is shades of Bazzill pink in real life!

Gone all Christmas again!

Teehehe....but hey I sure am getting ahead for Christmas 2010 thanks to all those Christmas challenges out there in blog land. And Christmas cards are my favorites too! So here's Henry again......

I would like to enter him into the following challenges 'cos I have used their lovely sketch. I have replaced image shape with a circle, hope this is OK! :0) My new (well newish) item is the Ranger Distress ink ~ Tea Dye, I have used around the paper & text + image circles. Their challenge this fortnight is O is for One paper, and I have used just one paper by Pink Petticoat's Doodle-icious Xmas collection. Now the Winter Wonderland challenge was to use the colour combo Satsuma, Gold & Chocolate....not your regular Christmas colours but I do like the combo so thought I would give it a go! Their challenge this week is Metal Mania! So out came the brads & charms. Not sure it shows much in the pic, but I coloured the charm to make it appear more of a golden colour to fit in with the rest of the colour theme.....looks rather good in real life if I may say so. Quite chuffed with the overall effect :0)

Thanks for popping by & have a great day!

First card in Feb..........

.......... I am such a bad blogger!

I just don't seem to have enough hours in the day or days in the week right now and to top that my mojo just deserted me. Can you believe it, I even ran out of white card! Ordered some on ebay, which due to a mess up, has taken ages to arrive. Still, with the refund I was offered by way of an apology it was worth the wait :0)

Now I have been dithering over Promarkers for ages & ages, and having spotted some in a sale I have finally taken the plunge. Well, I needed something to get my mojo back!

Have had a play with several images and am not disappointed, although I do need to work on my technique still.

My daughter reminded me this morning that she had asked for a birthday card for a friend.......Eeeeeeek! today! So off to 'work' I went and here is the result.

Image ~ Magnolia
Bazzill card ~ Jacaranda
Paper ~ Making Memories Spring Floral
Promarkers ~ Skin-Ivory; Blush; Hair-Vanilla, Sandstone & Terracotta (I think!);
Trousers-Duck egg; Top-Lavender; Boots-Sandstone.
Tools ~ Nesties, embossing tool.
Text ~ done on PC
Lace & card candy from stash.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges: Great sketch and having a sketch to follow helps to take some of the decision making out of the equation! And oh boy do I need that...... 'cos it takes me for ever other wise! Rotated the sketch 90* and added a wee bit of card candy. The second part of the challenge is to use my newest stash, and that's my Promarkers!
Bought in a sale from here Week 42's theme is Love and this card is sent with love as the text says and I have used a Magnolia image. Also has LOVE for this weeks theme. This fortnights challenge is N is for New and I have used my NEW Promarkers to colour the image.

Only problem I have now is I want more Promarkers...........OMG what have I started!

Have a great Valentines weekend, were ever you are and whatever you are doing......Enjoy!
