More LOTV Bunnies!

Hope you all had a great weekend, even if the weather has been a bit grot. I managed to get my friends anniversary card finished in between working over the weekend. Took the easy route and made one using the same image & layout as I did for my Hubbie's anniversary card a week or so ago. Well.......when time is short a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
Just tweaked a tiny bit so it wasn't exactly the same.

I had intended to enter my other version in for the Sketch & Stash challenge as I used their lovely sketch............. but forgot to link it! Well that and the fact that I used a rectangle instead of an oval or circle and I am not sure that is allowed? So I will enter this version along with an apology if this is not allowed.

Challenges:
http://sketchandstashchallenge.blogspot.com/ ~ Their fab sketch
http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/ ~ Q is for Quotation
http://totallygorjuss.blogspot.com/ ~ Hearts

Off to iron the school uniform :o( only 3 more days 'til the Easter hols begin :o)

LOTV Bear

Quite often when I start out I don't have an end plan in mind......I like to wing it and see what develops, but I need a card for some dear friends soon to be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. I picked a sketch I liked the look of and in my head I actually planned out what I wanted to do for a change. Funny how old habits kick back in without you really notice!
See what I mean.....this is how my 'anniversary' card turned out. LOL.....not very anniversaryish at all!?!

Oh well, I will just have to have another play, well that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it :o)
The sketch is from the Just Cute Bears challenge which can be found here ....
http://justcutebears.blogspot.com/ and oh boy is this one CUTE bear!
My card also fits in with the Cute Card Thursday challenge for this week which is "Dimensions"
http://www.cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/
I have cut around the flower and used an embossing tool to add shape and have stuck it down with 3D pads, the 2 fabric flowers also add dimension.

Have a great weekend!

White 'n' Sparkly

Having long admired all the stunning white themed card I see on blogs I decided it was time I had a go myself. Now the idea of no colour is a difficult one for me to get my head round and will definitely need a lot more practice. (I couldn't stop myself adding just a teeny weeny bit of pale colour to highlight the smoke & front of the buildings)

I had originally embossed & glittered the white card intending to use it for the ABC Christmas challenge 'Frosty' but have been really slow and ran out of time. Luckily for me their new challenge is 'Glitz with silver as an optional extra. So out came the silver card & ribbon and I am hoping the glitter counts for the Glitz element! :0)
The ribbon is actually white organza with little silver dots but looks silver as it is layered over a silver card panel. I LOVE this ribbon and so wish I had bought a load more when I could.
Note to self......when I see ribbon I love buy lots!
Anyhow, here is my card which I would like to enter for the following challenges:
The ABC Christmas Challenge ~ Glitz & silver (optional) http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/
The Sketch Saturday Challenge ~ 'Cos I followed their sketch
http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/
The Pollycraft Challenge ~ Sparkly things ~ lots of glitter on the embossed panel + silver glitter card & Bazzil bling card.
http://pollycraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/
And finally the Totally Gorjuss Challenge ~ Ribbons.....and I think my ribbon is totally gorjuss!

Phew.......I need to play with colour now!
Thanks for stopping by.

Purple Paper Piecing......

P is for Paper Piecing over at the ABC Challenge http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/
Now I have to confess that until I read their explanation on piecing I really didn't know what it was. I have used papers in a similar way before but usually with decoupage but the effect is quite similar so I thought I would have a go.

I have followed this great sketch from Bev over at the Just Magnolia Challenge, http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/ I love the clean layout so kept it that way, just added a flower to give her something to look towards. My text is on the charm.

Happy Mother's Day..........

..........to all you Mum's out there, I hope you all had a lovely day and were spoiled rotten!

I was treated to cards & breakfast in bed & after a leisurely start went off into town with my youngest to get him some new clothes! Little monkey just keeps on growing. I have managed a bit of crafting too.
A while back, while blog hopping, I came across this fantastic blog
http://bettys-creations.blogspot.com/ and was blown away with the fabulous creations I found there. With so many fab tutorials how could I resist! With a couple of templates printed off my daughter & I got to work & had a lovely time creating. I made just 1 whilst my daughter beavered away and made 7 of these today to give to her friends at Easter. Thank you so much Betty for the tutorials and the inspiration, your blog is totally wicked!
Here's what we have been making....Easter baskets.

I would like to enter this for the following challenges

http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/ ~ Anything but a card.
http://www.cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ ~ Celebrations
http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/ ~ also have Celebrations as their theme
http://critterchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ ~ their challenge this week is to have a flower some where on your creation and the second part is to use the colour combo blue, yellow & green.

So, I have made an Easter basket using the template from Betty's blog and decorated it with some yellow K&Company papers. Cut out yellow & green ovals from Bazzil card with my nesties and layer them up with this cute House Mouse image 'This egg's for you'. I water coloured the image using the colour combo and finished it off with yellow organza ribbon and 2 flower brads. The little guys egg has been given the Glossy accent treatment. Oh and I have used a Martha Stewart punch to do the handle. All I need now is some yummy choccie eggs!

Thanks for visiting.
