House Mouse meets Cute Card Thursday

Just about made it in time for this weeks House Mouse Challenge #39 ~ Birthdays. http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/
and my card also fits in with this weeks Cute Card Thurday challenge 62 ~ bit o' bling.
http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/
Couldn't post it earlier 'cos it was for a lovely friend I have got to know through a little craft group and its her birthday today so......
Happy Birthday Cathy!
I hope you have had a great day.

Water coloured both images 'Waiting for a bluebell drip' on the front of the card, and just couldn't resist using my new House Mouse 'Amanda writes' on the insert. Layered the front image onto lilac bazzil cut with my nesties and added liquid pearl dots to the scallops. Added a die cut scroll & 6 lilac gems to finish.

Managed one other card this week and used this cute image my good friend Helen send me. OMG ........ I LOVE this image......'Henry Mouse' from Whiff of joy......this stamp is so at the very top of my wish list!
Again water coloured the image, cut it out with my nesties & mounted it onto bazzil card. I used the sketch from week 38 House Mouse challenge which I didn't manage to use in time :0( but loved the sketch so have used it on this card. Gave in to the urge to add a flower and finished the cake off with stickles on the icing.

Well that's it for crafting this week, but I will leave you with a couple of pics of my new baby.
How cute is he!!!!!!

Awwwwwwww bless! Doesn't he look totally chilled out.

Apologies if this has big gaps or an odd layout.......I've not got to grips with this blog lark yet!
Night night

Papertake challenge sketch #15

My daughter asked me this morning to make a card for her friends little sister. Pink & girly was the brief. As luck would have it I had spent some of my birthday pennies at Stamping Bella and the postie delivered my goodies this morning....Yay! What a good excuse to play!

So chuffed......I have had my eye on the snowbella for ages and well, just couldn't resist the other two while I was there.

I used the fab sketch by Dawny from this weeks Papertake challenge to make my card.
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/
So with table awash with pink I got started and here is the result....

I stamped several images onto some pink papers and used these to decoupage the image. The under skirt and the bit behind her head/shoulders is highlighted with
Stickles ~ Star dust.Layered onto 2 shades of
Bazzil card ~ Romance & Petunia
Finished with a Papermania dome sticker greeting and 4 tiny pink gems.

Phew.......that's enough pink for me for a bit!

Papertake challenge & Cute card Thursday

I have discovered the joy of challenges!!!
Last week the Cute card Thursday challenge http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ really caught my attention as their challenge was "Happy Mail" They had asked crafters to make their cards for Postpals. Please click on the link to find out more about this great cause, and hopefully you too may feel inspired to send a card to make someone smile! http://www.postpals.co.uk So with Postpals in mind my card this week fits in with Cute Card Thursdays challenge ~ Letters & numbers http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ and I think I have just managed to finish my card in time to also join in with this week's Papertake challenge which is to feature animals somewhere on your cards. http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com

As last week's card is for a Mum, I have made this week's card for her son, who just happens to have a birthday real soon. I hope he likes it!

Yay......its my birthday!

And what a lovely start to the day it has been too. Bacon butties & fresh juice with the kids & hubbie followed by flowers, gifts & lots of gorgeous cards. Once I had the house to myself I tried out some of my new pamper stuff in a lovely hot bath. Cup of tea, a couple of choccies and some craft mags at hand.

45 mins later and oh boy I smell great! And I am cleansed, re-mineralised & rejuvenated (it says so on the label) Yippy.......I look 21 again......well I can kid myself for one day surly, after all it is my birthday!

Take a peek at my fabulous handmade cards from my wonderful crafty friends......sooooooo much talent its awesome!

These three beauties are from Squirrel, Angi & Pauline.......nicely coordinated ladies you all have a hedgie theme going on here.
Aren't they all totally FAB! I do have a wee
confession..........in the excitement of opening all my cards this morning I am now not sure which goodies came with which card so please forgive me for saying a general HUGE thank you to all, rather than a personal one (my head is hung in shame)

Now these two gorgeous cards are from Jo & Cathy. Again totally FAB........I am so lucky to have such great friends.
And these wonderful creations are from Samantha (OMG what a fabulous book! you clever thing) and Helen. Now I can thank Helen for a lovely bag of goodies..............loving those little paper circles, (they were on my Glitter Pot wish list) the lace, the flowers, brads and the gorgeous images.....I can't wait to play and just HAVE to get that mouse holding the cupcake stamp.
Now I have one more thing to share with you but shhhhhhhhhhh its a secret from the kids! Subject to being checked out OK by the vet this morning, my Hubbie will be collecting the cutest little kitten from the RSPCA this afternoon. We saw 6 of them with mum at the weekend and they are just soooooooooooo adorable! Only one coming home to us though. The kids think we have to wait another week or so, but as this one has gained weight well he may be allowed to come to us sooner.......fingers crossed. Will post a pic later.
Once again a great big thank you for all my lovely cards & goodies......you have made my birthday very special.
Love Kaz

Gonna have a go and see if I can upload a pic......
Oooooh it worked!
Who said you cant teach an old dog new tricks.
Anyway, this is a card I made for a challenge I came across. The idea is to make a card to brighten some body's day. Check out this link to Post pals! Such a great reason for making cards! And that is where my card is off to. Well done & thank you to the DT team at
http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ for highlighting such a worthy cause.
Right on that note I am going to see it I can do my first post on my new blog.........Oh the kids will be soooooooo impressed if I can pull this off!
