Along with half the crafting world, I am loving cards with the clean & simple look, although have to admit it's a whole lot harder than it looks! So I thought I would have a practice and after much shuffling & dithering this card eventually emerged........and I have to say it took me forever!!! How the heck can it take me soooooo long when the card is soooo simple?!?
That said I'm quite chuffed with it and will be doing a few more in different colours.
I stamped both the sentiment and the image using a clear embossing stamp pad and heat embossed with detail white embossing powders. I then used a white gel pen to draw a wavy line under the tree and added Stickles Frosted Lace to make some sparkly 'snow'. All the dots in the tree have also been given the Stickles treatment in my favorite colour 'Star Dust' Sadly all the sparkles don't show up in my pic :0( but it is very sparkly in real life..........honest!

This is a stunning card - nice and simple. Hugs, Claire x
ReplyDeleteI think that should be "Penny Black gets the KAZ treatment" hun! This is just super - know what you mean about the simple cards taking longer, I'm finding myself sitting there shuffling image and sentiment in endless variations, lol. This is just stunning, love the blue and white - classy. Hugs Sxx

This is gorgeous Kaz. I love how you've stamped in white on the beautiful blue background. Very stylish card. Sue.x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - I absolutely LOVE that sentiment! xxx
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful! And oh, you are so right: my CAS cards often take longer than a layered card with lots of embellies! It's like I can't make up my mind about whether I should "add" something else to the card - whether I am sure it is completely finished. But your card is just gorgeous - so beautifully balanced. I would pick it as a winner in the challenges for sure!! :-)
